Dear Fellow Wharton Graduate,
For more than 25 years, the Wharton Club of Portland has delivered educational, networking, and social opportunities to the 200-plus Wharton alumni living in the greater Portland area. As longtime club president, I am pleased to invite you to become more involved by joining our Planning Committee, or perhaps considering a club leadership role.
The Planning Committee will work closely with Laura Mack, Associate Director of Wharton Alumni Affairs and liaison for the Global Clubs Network. With the support of theSchool, our Club's coordinated committee model facilitates key communications between the School and alumni, and between alumni and the broader Portland business community.
In addition to the Planning Committee, we are currently seeking interested alumni to serve as webmaster, University liaison, careers liaison, and club co-chairs, to complement our current, loosely defined list oftraditional officers. An enhanced and expanded leadership group will be the key to generating broader participation across a wider range of business and social activities within our local alumni community. My fellow club officers Mike Barr, WG82, Jeff Gudman, WG79, Jim Boies, WG88, and Bill Rollers, WG91, and I will continue to be available to mentor and support any alumni who take on new leadership positions. Please contact Laura Mack for more information.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you as your Wharton Club of Portland president over the years. I look forward to working with you to reinvigorate our local alumni community.
Tim Gillette, WG88
